We loved listening to the Irish music. When will you have it again, and do you have any music on other Thursday nights?

    Dear anon,

We do have Doug Thompson and friends performing every other Thursday. Doug is a singer songwriter from the area, and quite a talented guy.
Did you know that we moved the Irish music to the last Friday of the month? Hope you can make it!

Dear Bonni, Thank you for telling us about the Irish music - we will plan to come Jun. 24th, the last Friday, right? What kind of music does Doug Thompson and friends play every other Thursday? Maybe we will drop by this week. Lisa, formerlly Anonymous above.

    Lisa,
Doug describes his music as "American" music, and I would say that that's true in the best sense of the word. He's a clever, entertaining and gracious performer and his songs are in the John Prine/Steve Goodman vein.
You can check out his website for more information, if you'd like. I should mention that this week is Doug's week off, but I hope we'll see you next week when he returns. If not sooner!
    Cheers,

Hi Bonnie, Thanks for Doug's website, he sounds fantastic. We will see you soon. Incidently my Grandmother was French, LaFleur, and my Grandfather was Norwegian, interesting combo, but maybe that's why I like your cafe so well. Wonderful food, and people. Keep up the great work. Lisa.

    Hi Stacia!
Thanks for the compliments! You can view the current slate of scheduled events at our events page; just follow the link at the top right of the home page or visit http://chezmarchespecialevents.blogspot.com.

The arts board is a non-profit organization, independent of the Chez, but closely linked in many ways. It will be meeting again in February, at the Chez. Just give us a call for more information. Sounds to me like you'd be a good fit!

    See you at the Chez!
    Cheers,
    b.
