Welcome to the Chez Marche Cafe!
Dishes that are vegetarian are marked with a “¥,” food marked with a “V” either already is vegan or may be prepared vegan by request. Most of our ingredients are organic and, as often as is feasible, locally grown.
Our menu changes daily, and is subject to the availability of ingredients, so please call to confirm current specials and check our blackboards to see what we’ve cooked up just on a whim.

¥Pancakes $5 for 2, $6.50 for 3. Made with whole grains and nuts. Topped with syrup and butter.

¥*Omelet $6 Made fresh to order with eggs from Brookside Organics. Add choice of mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, garlic and cheese. Served with sourdough or wheat toast.

Lunch

Soups of the Season

¥V Tuesday: Kale and black pepper soup over toasted croutons. Organic kale, a tender and flavorful green of European (particularly Scottish), origin is lightly simmered with onions and mushrooms in a light yet tasty broth. Served over a toasted bit of wheat bread rubbed with garlic, and topped with freshly grated Asiago cheese.
¥V Wednesday: Vegetarian Borscht. A fresh and lively soup made from beets, cabbage, dill, carrots, celery and onions. Topped with a bit of sour cream.
¥ Thursday: Cheesy Cauliflower soup. Rich and creamy.
¥Friday: French potato soup with leeks and rosemary. Smooth and comforting.
¥V Saturday: Winter Squash soup with kale. Earthy and satisfying.

In order to reduce waste, please let us know if you’d rather not receive the complimentary bread and butter that comes with all our soups.

Green cabbage shredded with carrots and onions in a tangy boiled dressing.

Mixed salad greens with fresh vegetables and our house vinaigrette.

Sandwiches
Sandwiches come with our famous cabbage salad. You may, if you prefer, substitute a cup of soup or small green salad for $1.
Wheatfree bread is available by request.

¥V Peanut Butter Supreme $5.25/$3.75 half sandwich
Inspired by the foods of Africa. Creamy peanut butter on whole wheat, with sunflower seeds, mandarin oranges, thinly sliced red onions and fresh greens.

¥Chez Cheese $5.25/$3.75 half sandwich
Mixed cheeses with raw bell peppers, onions, and lettuce, on whole wheat or sourdough bread.

¥Egg Salad $5/$3.50 half sandwich
Eggs in a fresh dill mayonnaise sauce, on whole wheat or sourdough.

Meatloaf Sandwich on whole wheat or sourdough $6.75/$4.5 half sandwich.
Made from pasture raised grassfed beef from Hubacher Farm in northern Wisconsin. On whole wheat or sourdough, with cheese, onions and lettuce.


SPECIALS
Tuesday: ¥V Organic Avocado and Tomato with Fresh Mozzarella on whole wheat, drizzled with our house vinaigrette $8.5/$5.25 for a half sandwich.

¥V Big Bowl of Beets Roasted OG beets, tossed with butter, salt and pepper, served with whole wheat $4 side order/$7 for a full bowl with bread.

Wednesday: ¥ Broccoli Quiche: Delicious organic broccoli with a sprinkling of nutty Asiago cheese, baked in our own homemade buttery pastry shell with a tender egg and cream custard. Served with a mixed greens salad and french bread. $7

¥V Sicilian Kale Tender and flavorful organic kale simmered with onions and cayenne pepper, then stirfried with raisins and garlic and lightly dressed with olive oil, a spritz of fresh lemon juice and salt and pepper. $4 side order/$7 for a full bowl w/bread.

Thursday: Lunch ~ ¥ Macaroni and Cheese. Homey macaroni baked in a cheddar cheese custard, topped with sliced organic roma tomatoes and homemade asiago breadcrumbs. $5 petite order/$9 for a full meal with salad and bread.

¥ Broccoli Quiche. Served with a mixed greens salad and french bread $7

Dinner: Bottomless bowl ~ ¥V Stir Fry with Tofu. Cooked to order with organic tofu, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, kale, carrots, bell peppers, onions, leeks and optional hot peppers. Served in a light and gingery sauce, with rice.
Additional dinner entrees to be announced.

Friday: Lunch ~ ¥V Roasted vegetable medley. Organic beets, carrots, onions, leeks and potatoes, marinated in a saucy thyme and lemon vinaigrette ~ oven roasted and topped at the end with a bit of goat cheese. Served with french bread. $6

¥ Chez TexMex Casserole ~ Mixed organic vegetables in a Pepper jack cheese sauce, topped with our own homemade breadcrumbs and baked until browned and bubbly. $5

Dinner: ~ Southern Fried Chicken Wings. Big meaty organic chicken wings made the way Grandma made ‘em. Served with TexMex casserole, corn bread and a mixed greens salad. $10
